Recommended Handling Guidelines for Vessel Movement in Tampa Bay
   NOTE: Drafts and Restrictions may Officially change before posted to website, if your vessel's draft is close, please contact our office for the most current info.
 
     Port Manatee: Vessels with a draft of Less Than 27' ANYTIME.
  27' to 33' 0.3 knot current or less for turn.   DFT's over 33' Slack Water 
  700'-800' LOA , MAX 0.5 knot current for turn
  LOA over 800' & Post Panamax - Slack Water all DFT's
  MAX LOA 900', See Note Pg. 105. 
  Channel MAX 37' plus Tide
  
Only one vessel over 36' DFT per Slack Water. MAX (2) Moves per Tide.

     Big Bend : Mosaic Big Bend channel DFT 31'-02" +/- tide, MAX LOA 700'

     East Tampa : Mosaic Riverview East Tampa Ch. 31' 09"

     Ports of Tampa, Pt. Sutton & East Bay: Vessels with a draft of 34'-00" ANYTIME.
  Certain Berths may have other Draft limitations. Consult M.A.C. Guidelines and/or Pilot Office for Specific Requirements. 
  Sparkman Channel requires One-Way traffic and Draft restrictions of 34'-06" + Tide, MAX 35'-06"

     "G" Cut : Vessels with a draft of 33' + Tide to MAX of 35' (not to exceed 35')
  

     Old Port Tampa: OUTBOUND: Vessels with a draft of Less Than 25' ANYTIME.
  LOA>700', less than 0.5kts IN or OUTBOUND. 
  INBOUND: Less than 25', < 1.0 KT (Tankers less than .5 KT EBB).
  INBOUND: Draft 25'+: SLACK WATER. CLASS A TUG REQUIRED
  
Maximum Draft 33' + Tide (MAX 35') due to "G" Cut restriction. MAX LOA 750'.
  Vessel passing only with the agreement of Pilot and Master. MAX (2) moves per Tide..

     Weedon Island : Maximum Draft of 30'-00".
  MAX LOA 675'. Maximum Turnaround Draft 24'-00" . 
  Vessels with DFT of 28' or more require less than 1.0 Knot. 


     RattleSnake: Vessels with a draft of 12' plus Tide.
  Vessels to Misener Marine 14' plus Tide. 

     Bayboro: Vessels with a draft of 22'-06" plus Tide.

     Gadsden: Vessels with greater than 685' LOA, 27' Draft May Not anchor in Gadsden Anchorage.

     Tampa Bay Main Channel: 39' plus Tide ANYTIME, MAX 41'-00".
  39'+ must be started in at least 4 hours before appropriate tide window. Must sail before HW if tide change is less than Draft over 39'.
